Abstract:
A novel extractant of HBL101 was used to extract molybdenum directly from a strong acid leaching solution of Ni-Mo ore after roasting. The effects of organic phase composition, acidity of feed solution, phase ratio, oscillation frequency, equilibrium time and temperature on molybdenum extraction were investigated. The extraction isotherm of molybdenum with HBL101 was drawn. The results show that molybdenum extraction rate can reach 96.8% above and saturation capacity of organic phase is 12.09 g/L under the optimum conditions. The molybdenum back extraction rate is 99.9% above after the loaded organic phase is washed by pure water and three-stage of counter-current stripped by ammonia. Separation of molybdenum and nickel, as well as enrichment and transformation of molybdenum are finally achieved.
