Abstract:
The effects of temperature, atmosphere and cooling on desulfurization and iron-enrichment were investigated by simulating oxidative desulfurization stage of recycling iron from iron-sinking slag by bath smelting. Thermodynamic calculation and thermoanalysis demonstrate that desulfurization temperatures of iron sulfate are 780 ℃ and 875.2 ℃, respectively, and phase transition temperatures from thermodynamic calculation are consistent with TG and DSC results. The desulfurization rate of iron-sinking slag is 99.55% and iron content is upgraded to 37.92% under the optimum conditions of furnace temperature of 1 300 ℃, oxygen atmosphere and water-quenching.
