Abstract:
Zinc electrolysis experiments were conducted with different electrolysis anode, i.e., independent developed outsized Pb-Ca alloy electrolysis anode with 0.2% silver content (base anode) and commercial Pb-Ca alloy cast anode with 0.8% silver content. The weight loss of anode, current efficiency, power consumption of DC, and quality of electrolyzed zinc were compared. The results show that compared with cast anode with the same quality of electrolyzed zinc, the base anode has less weight loss and higher current efficiency. The substitution of commercial Pb-Ca alloy anode by base anode is predicted.
