| Abstract: |
| The preparation of magnesium hydrate from flotation phosphate tailings bearing high magnesium was investigated. The results show that calcium carbonate with 99.6% purity and magnesium hydrate with 91.5% purity are obtained under the following processes including controlled leaching by hydrochloric acid with pH value of 4, filtering separation, adding calcium hydroxide powder with mole ratio of n(MgCl2)∶n[Ca(OH)2]=1∶0.7, and adding 0.5 mol/L sodium bicarbonate solution. |
