Abstract:
The leaching behaviors of silver concentrate in [Bmim]HSO4 ionic liquids and thiourea solution were studied. The effects of grinding fineness, [Bmim]HSO4 concentration, thiourea and Fe3 concentrations, ratio of liquid to solid, and leaching time on silver leaching rate were investigated. The results show that silver leaching rate is 73.96% under the optimum conditions including particle size of 80% -0.043 mm, thiourea concentration of 0.18 mol/L, [Bmim]HSO4 concentration of 0.3 mol/L, Fe3 concentration of 7.5 mmol/L, ratio of liquid to solid of 3∶1 and leaching time of 18 h. In comparison with cyaniding leaching and sulfuric acid thiourea leaching, the highest silver leaching rate can be achieved in [Bmim]HSO4-thiourea solution with the shortest leaching duration.
