Abstract:
      Microstructures of Al-Mg casting alloy with different amounts of zirconium and scandium were investigated by means of optical microscopy, tensile test and XRD. The results show that the addition of zirconium and scandium will remarkably decrease branching of the dendrites; and the crystal particles of Al-Mg casting alloy are refined. The Al-Mg casting alloy has good comprehensive properties with the addition of 0.2% Zr and 0.4% Sc.
