Abstract:
In a fully hydrometallurgical process to recover zinc from zinc sulphide concentrate, entrance of fluoride and chloride into hydrometallurgical system had concentrations of these two ions exceed standard. This problem has become a bottleneck for development of zinc hydrometallurgical process. The harmness of F- and Cl- for zinc hydrometallurgical system was analyzed. The methods to remove F- and Cl- were discussed. The methods to remove F- and Cl- with bright prospect are proposed.
