| Abstract: |
| The thermodynamics and kinetics to prepare high purity europium by lanthanum-thermal reduction were investigated. The preparing parameters were determined. The effecting factors on purity and stored method were discussed. The results show that europium metal with purity of 99.983% is prepared by reduction and vacuum distillation at 1 100 ℃ in tantalum sheet furnace at vacuum degree of 0.001 Pa with 5N Eu2O3 as raw material and self-made lanthanum metal as reductant. |
