Abstract:
The effect of additives of magnesium carbonate on reactivity, electrical resistivity and air permeability of carbon anode were analyzed. The results show that with the addition amount of magnesium carbonate of 1.0%, optimum CO2 reactivity, low electrical resistance and good air permeability can be achieved. Optimum air reactivity is achieved with the addition of magnesium carbonate of 1.0%. Better quality carbon anode is obtained with the addition magnesium carbonate of 1.0%~1.5%.
