Abstract:
The effects of ore particles, jarosite and solid silica on formation of emulsion during extraction were investigated. Production rate and light transmittance of aqueous phase were applied to evaluate emulsion stability. The results show that product rate of emulsion is high with ore particles in the system, that is, the product rate of emulsion is 40.3 % in the system with 8 g/L ore particles after 10 min standing. Solid silica exerts a significant effect on product rate of emulsion formation and light transmittance of aqueous phase. In contrast, the product rate of emulsion of jarosite is low with short phase splitting time due to jarosite’s stronger hydrophilcity.
