Abstract:
The leaching dynamics before and after mechanical activation were studied through investigating effects of leaching temperature and sulfuric acid concentration on vanadium extraction from stone coal. The results indicate that apparent activation energy for non activated ore is 23.49 kJ/mol and reaction series is 2.62, and the according parameters decrease to 16.85 kJ/mol and 2.17 after 20 min mechanical activation. Mechanical activation could contribute to increase of surface energy so as to reduce dependence of leaching process on temperature and acidity.
