Abstract:
The effects of reduction temperature, mole ratio of carbon to oxygen (nC/nO) and reduction time on metallization rate of pellets were studied by orthogonal experiments and single factor experiments. The results show that the main affecting factors of metallization rate include reduction temperature, followed by nC/nO and reduction time. Under the optimum parameters of reduction time of 30 min, temperature of 1 350 ℃, nC/nO=1.25, moisture of 9%, moulding pressure of 12 MPa and content of binding agent of 0.4%, the metallization rate of reduced pellets can be improved to 91.77%, with phase composition of metallic iron.
