Abstract:
Copper was selectively leached from copper tailings from mineral processing with ammonium hydroxide as leaching agent. The effects of particle size, ammonium hydroxide concentration, stirring speed, leaching temperature and time, and ratio of liquid to solid (L/S) on copper leaching rate were investigated. The results show that copper leaching rate is 75% above with impurities barely leached under the optimum conditions including particle size of 0.074~0.105 mm, ammonium hydroxide concentration of 1.1 mol/L, stirring speed of 600 r/min, leaching temperature of (55±2)℃, leaching time of 120 min and L/S=15∶1.
