Abstract:
The feasibility to leach REEs with sulfuric acid from non-gypsum residue of phosphoric acid by wet-process was studied. The effects of concentration of sulfuric acid, reaction temperature and time, and ratio of liquid to solid (L/S) on recovery of REEs were investigated. The results show that the average leaching rate of REEs is 81.9% under the optimum conditions including sulfuric acid concentration of 14%, temperature of 90 ℃, L/S=4∶1, and reaction time of 2 h. The leached residue with sulfuric acid mainly contains quartz, columnar gypsum and needle-like gypsum.
