Abstract:
Scattered metals were recovered from thallium-bearing dust in lead smelting by oxidative leaching, solvent extraction, reduction transformation, replacement, and ingot casting. The results show that the optimum leaching conditions include sodium chloride concentration of 50~80 g/L, dosage of potassium permanganate of 6.0%~7.5%, sulfuric acid concentration of 1.0~1.4 mol/L, ratio of liquid to solid of 2.5~3.5, and temperature of (90±5)℃. Extraction rate of thallium is 99% above under the optimum extraction conditions including concentration of N503 diethylbenzene of 30%, phase ratio of O/A=2, temperature of 40 ℃, and time of 4 min.
