| Abstract: |
| Pilot-plant test on resource utilization of red mud in Guangxi Pingguo Aluminum was conducted. Valuable metals, such as iron, aluminum, titanium and scandium, were recovered by process of “iron reduction smelting, smelting slag acidolysis, leaching, aluminum precipitation, scandium extraction, scandium stripping, scandium purification”. The leaching residue was applied as industrial gypsum. Zero discharge of wastewater in whole process was realized with significant economic and social benefits. |
