| Abstract: |
| The effect of calcium content on water leaching rate of vanadium from typical high calcium mica-type vanadium-bearing black shale stone coal by sodium roasting and water leaching was investigated. The results show that calcium content in ore exerts significant influence on water leaching rate of vanadium. The roasting products are Ca3V2O8 and Ca2V2O7 in 850 ℃ with molar ratio of CaCO3 to V2O5 of 2∶1 above, thereby, the water leaching rate of vanadium declines sharply. Products of CaV2O6, Ca2V2O7, Ca3V2O8 are more soluble in acid solutions than those in alkali solutions by calculation of thermodynamics. Therefore, technologies of sodium roasting-water leaching-acid leaching or sodium roasting-acid leaching can improve vanadium recovery for high calcium mica-type vanadium-bearing black shale. The final leaching rate of vanadium by dilute acid is 73% of roasted sample without calcium removal. |
