Abstract:
      A 240 kA aluminium reduction cell with new-type of lining structure was developed after its lining structure optimized. Electric-thermal field of new lining structure was calculated by simulation. Plant practice shows that new lining structure addresses unbalanced energy and improves running stability under low voltage. The economic and technical indicators of average voltage of 3.80 V and direct current consumption of per tonnage aluminum of 12 282 kWh were obtained.
