Abstract:
With a flash furnace model, sand is used to simulate particle distribution of central diffuse type concentrate burner under different gas flows and feed rates. The segregation function px and particle mass percent of central area xcent were adopted to reflect particle dispersion. The results show that particles are gathered to central area with increase of process air, and dispersed with increase of distribution air. A suitable match between process air and distribution air facilitates particle dispersion well. Reduction of vertical force of process air is necessary for high intensity flash smelting.
