Abstract:
The effects of concentration of H and Ti4 , reaction temperature and time on hydrolysis rate and particle size distribution of metatitanic were studied with titanium chloride solution as raw material. The results show that the hydrolysis rate and particle size of metatitanic rise first then decrease with increase of H concentration. Concentration of Ti4 has little effect on hydrolysis rate of metatitanic but in favor of the growth of metatitanic nucleus. Increasing reaction temperature is conducive to promote metatitanic hydrolysis reaction and growth of metatitanic nucleus. Hydrolysis rate of metatitanic rises with increase of time. Hydrolysis time has little effect on particle size of metatitanic. Flake aggregated metatitanic with particle size of 2~10 μm is prepared under the optimum conditions including H concentration of 1.2 g/L, Ti4 concentration of 20 g/L, hydrolysis temperature of 108 ℃, and hydrolysis duration of 2.5 h.
