Abstract:
Homemade amine ramification was used as additive for zinc electrowinning in ammonia system. The effects of additive dosage on current efficiency and surface morphology of zinc cathode were investigated. The results show that current efficiency is 90.43% with dense and smooth surface morphology under the optimum conditions including dosage additive of 2 ml/L, Zn2 concentration of 40 g/L, ammonium chloride concentration of 5 mol/L, ammonia concentration of 2.5 mol/L, current density of 400 A/m2, polar distance of 3 cm, and temperature of 40 ℃.
