Abstract:
Secondary zinc oxide slurry from one zinc smelter was applied to absorb low concentration SO2. The results show that absorption rate of SO2 in simulative gas with 2 130 mg/m3 SO2 is 99.6% under the conditions including room temperature, concentration of secondary ZnO slurry of 15%, pH>4.5, and gas flow of 750 m3/h. Concentration of SO2 in off-gas can meet the related discharge standard. Recycling of SO2 and Zn can be achieved.
