Abstract:
Arsenic was leached from arsenic-bearing gold ore with microwave radiation in sodium hydroxide solution. The effects of concentration of sodium hydroxide solution, ratio of liquid to solid (L/S), and microwave power on leaching of arsenic were investigated by orthogonal test. The results show that arsenic leaching rate is 68.64% under the optimum conditions including concentration of sodium hydroxide of 10%, L/S=4∶1, microwave power of 385 W, and leaching time of 60 min. AsS and FeAsS in gold ore are dissoluted, arsenic is partly transformed to As2O3, and iron is partly transformed to FeS2.
