Abstract:
Four kinds of copper ores of malachite were chosen to simulate smelting of brass. The raw materials, brass samples, and smelting residues were detected and analyzed by XRD, XRF, metallographic microscope, SEM, and ICP. The results show that main content of brass obtained from four kinds of copper ores includes copper (71%~82%), zinc (17%~28%) and lead (0.4%~1.1%). The content of other elements is no more than 0.1%. The microstructures of brass are isometric crystal and twin crystal.
