Abstract:
Calcium carbonate dissolution-precipitation related factors were analyzed to control the blocking caused by calcium carbonate precipitation during mild acid in-situ leaching of uranium at Mengqiguer deposit. Saturation state of calcium carbonate was monitored with geochemical modeling software QHREEQCI. The results show that pH is the primary controlling factor for calcium carbonate dissolution-precipitation. Saturation state of calcium carbonate moves gradually from being saturated to being unsaturated with drop of pH value. Precipitation of calcium carbonate can be effectively prevented by controlling pH value below critical value.
