Abstract:
Novel inner-heating vertical furnace independently developed was applied to extract crude magnesium from dolomite. Magnesium condensation was analyzed and characterized. The results show that when condenser is located above shaft furnace and no external cooling is carried out, collection of crude magnesium is available. Condensation products can be divided into dense layer and loose layer, respectively. The optimal location is 50 cm from fire blocking, where dense layer is thick and loose layer is thin.
