| Abstract: |
| The effects of magnesium dosage, feeding mode of magnesium, and discharge of reduction by-product in magnesium reduction process on quality of titanium sponge were analyzed. The results show that grade of titanium sponge drops with increase of impurity elements in magnesium. Stable control of feeding amount of magnesium can stabilize liquid level of reaction and improve proportion of 0A grade titanium sponge. Condensed magnesium degassing time of 0A grade titanium sponge is one hour shorter than that of ≤1 grade titanium sponge. Time-consuming of magnesium adding and molten has little effect on grade. Smooth discharge of by-product of magnesium chloride can improve grade of titanium sponge. |
