Abstract:
      Basic size structure of new 60 kA immersion rare earth electrolytic cell was designed and developed by calculation. Three dimensional electric field calculation model of electrolyzer was established with numerical simulation software. Distribution of electric field in rare earth electrolytic cell with polar distance of 60~100 mm was simulated. Analysis results of electric field voltage show that the optimum electrode spacing is 70 mm. This simulation results can provide theoretical basis for commercialization and application of this type of electrolyzer.
