| Abstract: |
| Biomass charcoal was prepared from waste crops. Commercial test of biomass charcoal as a substitute for charcoal as reducing agents in silicon production smelting was conducted. The results show that biomass carbon has characteristics of high carbon content, low ash content, and good chemical activity. The quality of industrial silicon is improved with stable output and reduction of power consumption and electrode consumption by 7.9% and 22.2% respectively. |
