Abstract:
Neodymium was synergistic extracted by unsaponifiable acidic extractant P204 and alkaline extraction N235. The effects of ratio of P204 and N235, extractant concentration, aqueous phase acidity, and rare earth concentration on synergistic extraction of neodymium were investigated. The results show that the optimum synergistic extraction is obtained under the conditions including volume ratio of N235 and P204 of 6︰4, volume ratio of synergistic extractant and kerosene of 1︰1, and pH value of 3.0. Extraction capacity first rises and then tend to maintain with increase of concentration of rare earth feed liquid. The maximum saturation capacity of neodymium is 28 g/L (REO) which is higher than that of individual extraction of P204.
