| Abstract: |
| Hafnium was solvent extracted from thiocyanate medium with MIBK as extractant. The effects of thiocyanate ammonia concentration and acidity in aqueous phase, presaturation concentration of HSCN in organic phase, phase ratio, and extraction duration on distribution ratio of hafnium and titanium were investigated. The results show that distribution ratio of hafnium and titanium is 18.20 and 0.16 respectively with separation factor of hafnium from titanium of 107 under the optimum conditions including thiocyanate ammonia concentration of 1.0 mol/L and aqueous phase acidity of 1.0 mol/L in aqueous phase, presaturation concentration of HSCN in organic phase of 0 mol/L, phase ratio of 1.5︰1, and extraction duration of 5 min. |
