| Abstract: |
| Zirconium and hafnium were stripped from loaded organic phase in DIBK-TBP and DIBK-P204 system respectively applying hydrochloric acid with different acidities and sulfuric acid as back extraction agents. The results show that zirconium on loaded organic phase in DIBK-TBP system is firstly striped by acidity of 2.0 mol/L hydrochloric acid with single-stage stripping rate of 85%, and zirconium-rich solution is obtained, then hafnium is striped sequentially by acidity of 8.0 mol/L sulfuric acid with single-stage stripping rate of 90%, and hafnium-rich solution with little zirconium is obtained. While hafnium on loaded organic phase in DIBK-P204 system is striped firstly by acidity of 3.0 mol/L sulfuric acid with single-stage stripping rate of 90%, and hafnium-rich solution with little zirconium is obtained, then zirconium is striped by acidity of 2.0 mol/L hydrochloric acid with single-stage stripping rate of 70%, and zirconium-rich solution with little hafnium is obtained. Therefore, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid can strip zirconium and hafnium favorably from loaded organic phase in DIBK synergistic extraction system. |
