Abstract:
Titanium oxides and iron oxides in actual high grade titanium slag were reduced to titanium oxycarbide (Ti2CO) and iron metal respectively by carbothermic reduction, while MOx slag was not restored. Flotation tests of simulated mixed raw materials from Ti2CO and MOx were carried out with oleic acid as collecting agent. The results show that flotation productive rate of 79.88% and 87.74% recovery of Ti2CO were obtained from actual reduction product.
