Abstract:
Acid leaching-high temperature chlorination process is used to remove arsenic and recover gold and silver from high arsenic-bearing pyrite cinder. The results show that iron grade in roasted pellet is 55% above, contents of As, S, Cu, Pb, Zn in pellet are 0.32%, 0.011%, 0.057%, 0.11%, and 0.38% respectively under the optimum conditions including sulfuric acid concentrate of 30 g/L, particle size of -0.037 mm of 81.87%, dosage of CaCl2 of 5%, bentonite dosage of 2%, roasting temperature of 1 200 ℃, and roasting time of 2h. Roasted pellet intensity is 2.5 kN above. Arsenic deposition rate is 96.7% when Na2S addition is three times of theoretical amount.
