Abstract:
Copper was recovered from waste Teflon (PTFE) by acid leaching under atmospheric pressure. The effects of initial concentration of sulfuric acid, initial concentration of assistant leaching agent, leaching temperature and time on copper leaching rate were investigated. The results show that copper leaching rate is 98% with low impurity content in leaching solution under the optimum conditions including initial concentration of sulfuric acid of 3.5 mol/L, mass fraction of assistant leaching agent of 15%, leaching temperature of 45 ℃, and time of 5 h.
