Abstract:
Sedimentation experiment for electrolytic manganese ore leached slurry was carried out with different flocculants. The effects of electrical property, ion ratio, molecular weight, and dosage of flocculant on sedimentation were investigated. The results show that settling velocity of leached slurry with solid content of 6% drops from 0.04 m/h of free settling to 0.69 m/h under the optimum conditions including 60 g/t cationic flocculant with molecular weight of 14 million to 17 million, and ion ratio of 30%, meeting the standard of pulp production process in electrolytic manganese industry.
