| Abstract: |
| V-Ti-Fe alloy prepared by metal thermal reduction was refined in vacuum induction furnace. The effect of Ce metal on refining effect was investigated. The results show that addition of Ce can effectively remove oxygen impurity in alloy, reduce componential segregation and improve hydrogen storage capacity of alloy. Deoxidization degrees and hydrogen storage capacity rise gradually with adding of Ce. When m(Ce)/m(alloy) is up to 5%, oxygen content drops to 0.05%, and the maximum hydrogen absorption capacity and effective hydrogen desorption capacity are up to 3.36% and 1.85%, respectively. |
