Abstract:
Magnesium reduction slag was roasted with quartz sand and leached by hydrochloric acid and acid leaching residues were roasted with additives to improve effective silicon content for plant absorption. The results show that MgO, CaO, and Fe2O3 in magnesium reduction slag are dissolved into solution after roasted with quartz sand and leached by 4 mol/L hydrochloric acid. The main component of acid leaching residues is silicon dioxide after roasting. The effective silicon content is improved from 4.35% of initial magnesium reduction slag to 25.62% after acid leaching residues are roasted with additives of KOH at 200 ℃ for 6 h.
