Abstract:
Crystallization mechanism of calcium and magnesium in zinc hydrometallurgy process was investigated by simulation of actual solution and field sampling comparative analysis. The results show that drop of solution temperature is the dominant factor in crystallization of calcium and magnesium. Magnesium ions in solution can induce crystallization precipitation of main metal element zinc. There is competing reaction between calcium and magnesium ions under high salinity in process of crystallization. Calcium ion is easy to be preferentially crystallized than magnesium ions in solution at high temperature while magnesium ions is easy to be preferentially crystallized than calcium ions in solution at low temperature.
