| Abstract: |
| Cobalt was leached from low-grade asbolite with methylene blue as reductant in sulfuric acid system. The effects of concentrations of methylene blue and sulfuric acid, leaching temperature, and reaction time on leaching rates were investigated. The leaching rate of Co and Mn is 99% above under the optimum technological conditions including initial concentration of sulfuric acid of 1.6 mol/L, initial concentration of methylene blue of 5 g/L, leaching temperature of 95 ℃, leaching time of 4 h, and ratio of liquid to solid of 3︰1. |
