Abstract:
Characteristics of vacuum distillation equipment and operation processes were introduced when Ⅰ—type furnace was applied to produce titanium sponge. Causes of intermediate channels blockage were analyzed and corresponding controlling measurements were put forward. The main causes of intermediate channels blockage include mismatching between effective pumping speed and volatilization quantity of magnesium and magnesium chloride, poor tightness of vacuum separation system, and inappropriate temperature grade control between separation vessel and condenser.
