Process Study on Leaching of Asbolite with Lignite in Sulfuric Acid System

Abstract:
      Sulfur dioxide was substituted by lignite to leach asbolite in sulfuric acid system for the first time. The effects of technical conditions on leaching of asbolite were investigated. The results show that cobalt leaching rate is 97% above under the optimum conditions including particle size of lignite of -0.074 mm of 98%, ratio of lignite to asbolite of 0.33, ratio of liquid to solid of 2, temperature of 92 ℃, and leaching time of 5.5 h.
