Abstract:
Red mud and fly ash glass ceramics were prepared with titanium slag as nucleation agent, and the microstructure was characterized. The effects of dosage of titanium slag on crystallization kinetics parameters and microstructure were investigated. The results show that crystallization activation energy drops and crystallization index rises with increasing of dosage of titanium slag. When adding amount of titanium slag is 6.6%, activation energy drops to 581.45 kJ/mol and crystallization index is 0.8 with occurrence of uniform distribution of crystal nucleus, obvious grow of grain, and preferable crystallization.
