Abstract:
Solvent impregnated resins (SIRs) were prepared with L493 macroporous adsorption resins as carrier and P204 as extractant. SIRs were characterized and the optimum concentration of extractant is 50%. The effects of pH value of solution, vanadium concentration, temperature, and contact time on absorption of vanadium in sulfuric acid solutions with SIRs were investigated through static adsorption method. The results show that the optimum pH value for both adsorption of vanadium (Ⅳ) and vanadium (Ⅴ) is 2.0. The adsorption isotherms of vanadium (Ⅳ) and vanadium (Ⅴ) on SIRs are fit to Langmuir isotherm model. Adsorption equilibrium time for vanadium (Ⅳ) and vanadium (Ⅴ) is 18 h and 14 h respectively. Adsorption processes of vanadium (Ⅳ) and vanadium (Ⅴ) can be well described by pseudo-second order model.
