| Abstract: |
| Two-stage extraction method was applied to extract scandium oxide from crude scandium. The extraction of rare earth, thorium, zirconium, and other impurities was inhibited by adding carboxylate surfactant with ten percent of scandium oxide in one-stage TBP extraction system. The extraction of zirconium, iron and other impurities was inhibited by adding acids complexing agent with fifteen percent of scandium oxide in two-stage TBP extraction system. |
