| Abstract: |
| A new type of two stage roasting process to pretreat refractory gold concentrate was proposed with the first stage adopting fluidized bubbling bed (BFB) roasting to remove arsenic and the second stage adopting circulating fluidized bed (CFB) roasting to remove sulfur. Plant practice shows that quality of calcine obtained from this new combination apparently outperformed that of conventional combination where the second stage applies BFB as well, and gold cyanidation leaching rate can be improved by 2~3 percent point. |
