Abstract:
Copper matrix-graphite self-lubricating materials were prepared by powder metallurgy applying copper-coated graphite powders with copper mass fraction of 30% and 60% respectively and copper powders as raw materials. The properties of solid self-lubricating materials with different coating content of copper-coated graphite were investigated. The results show that the minimum friction coefficient of solid self-lubricating composite materials at 20 N loading made by 30% coating content copper-coated graphite is 0.13, and compressive strength is 192 MPa. The composites with better self-lubricating properties and mechanical properties can be maintained by coating content of 30% copper-coated graphite.
