| Abstract: |
| Distribution characteristics of radionuclide uranium in water environment surrounding uranium tailings were investigated with underground water and gravity spring surrounding uranium tailings as research objects. The results show that uranium distribution level of gravity spring is much higher than that of underground water in vertical direction, while in horizontal direction, uranium concentration of gravity springs drops far from tailings area. Distribution characteristics of radionuclide uranium in underground water and gravity spring may be influenced by hydrogeochemical process of radionuclide dissolution, migration and precipitation, which attribute to form of uranium in aqueous solution, chemical reactions, microbial oxidation, and rainfall. Levels of total α and total β in underground water of survey region are lower than those of national guidance level, and meet National Drinking Water Standard. The underground water in survey region is safe for residents to drink. |
