Abstract:
Bismuth was separated from bismuth oxide slag which is produced from treatment of copper/lead anode slimes by pyrometallurgical process, with chlorination leaching, antimony hydrolysis precipitation, and bismuth neutralization precipitation. The effects of final acid concentration, leaching time, L/S and leaching temperature on bismuth leaching rate were investigated. The effects of hydrolysis method, pH value, and hydrolysis time on antimony hydrolysis rate, as well as those of pH value and neutralization time on bismuth precipitation rate were investigated. Under optimum conditions, bismuth leaching rate is 95.25%, antimony hydrolysis rate is 83.77%, and bismuth precipitation rate is 99% above, while antimony and copper can be effectively recovered during bismuth extraction.
