Abstract:
Pyrolysis process of pitch before and after addition of cerium element was tested with TG-DTG method. Carbon anode reactivity was tested in CO2 and air atmosphere respectively. Microstructure of carbon anodes is tested by XRD. The results show that with addition of cerium elements, pyrolysis rate slowed down, pyrolysis temperature range broadened, apparent activation energy of pitch pyrolysis is reduced, pyrolysis reaction is easier to happen, and production rate of asphalt coke rises by 4.79 percent point. Carbon anode grain thickness is enlarged, living nature point is reduced, residual rate of carbon anode in CO2 and air are improved, and extra consumption of carbon anode is reduced.
